Action for
human dignity
Within the United States, we represent Finn Church Aid − Finland’s largest international aid organization.
We are committed to ensuring all people − regardless of religion, ethnic background, or political conviction − can exercise their right to quality education, right to livelihoods, and right to peace.
Focus on Education
FCA's 71 years of experience indicate that access to quality education is a prerequisite for enhanced livelihoods that contribute to social cohesion and conflict reduction.
Building on the successes of the Finnish education system, FCA works with all levels of society to strengthen and develop better education systems, provide educational pathways throughout humanitarian emergencies, and link what students are learning in the classroom to future employment.

Finn Church Aid began delivering emergency aid in Ukraine in February 2022. FCA has since established its own country office in Ukraine and started working on education in Chernihiv, northern Ukraine. A joint 14-million project by FCA, international Save the Children, People in Need, and War Child, funded by the EU, is set to reach 45 000 children during 2023. As part of the project, schools damaged by the war are repaired, psychosocial support is provided, and teachers are trained.
